A fun, lowkey farming simulator, and a beat-em-up RPG. For such a cool game, though, the weapons can be a little… lackluster. Take the Galaxy Sword, for example. It’s one of the most powerful swords available in vanilla. And yet, it’s really underwhelming to look at. The purple is nice, but for something with ‘galaxy’ in the name, I’d expect something a little more out of this world! If you feel the same way the browse over these mods to see if there’s anything to help you up your weapons game. I know I’ve got some downloads queued!
10. Angel’s Weapons Rebalance
Check Out This Mod Maybe you’re frustrated with just how OP swords can be, or how bonkers it is that there’s weapon drops EVERYWHERE in crates in the mines. This mod totally overhauls the entire weapon system with funky fixes like nerfing swords, and assigning uses to daggers and hammers. Rare drops become way less frequent, so you’re not getting fifteen pairs of Lava Boots in one mines run. And levels with weapons scale more smoothly, so there aren’t enormous jumps between some levels, and barely noticeable changes with others.
9. Magical Girl Weapons
Check Out This Mod Some people like realistic immersion in their games. Others want to beat the crap out of skeletons with a Sailor Moon sword. Neither of these people are wrong, but the latter is probably going to enjoy this mod a whole lot more. With this installed, it turns boring weapons like the Iron Bat and the other standard fare, into a myriad of pastel smack-y things to hit other things with. Definitely consider installing some fun dresses or pastel clothes for immersion too. Totally up to you.
8. Soft Pink Weapons
Check Out This Mod These pretty pink weapons may look soft and delicate, but don’t let that fool you: They pack just as much of a sharp-edged punch as their vanilla counterparts. And these are absolutely lovely, with really nice shades of pink – not a nasty hot pink mess. I’d say these are a must for anyone who likes to bring the glamor to their game, or for those who just really like pink!
7. Fluffykins Weapons
Check Out This Mod These custom weapons by creator Fluffykins adds a ton of customized weapons – including some from the Legend of Zelda series. For example, the Templar Blade gets transformed into the Kokiri Sword, the Cutlass into the Deku Shield, the Galaxy Sword into the Master Sword, and the Galaxy Hammer becomes the Megaton Hammer. Along with the name changes, this mod also retextures most of the weapons in-game to look cooler, and less like two-bit chump sticks. There’s definitely a lot of variety to choose here!
6. Weapons on Display
Check Out This Mod Alright, so you’ve got your game full of custom weapons (or maybe just a lot of vanilla weapons). But what now? They certainly look cool, but some of them are little more than shelf candy with their lame damage. Now you can put them on display with this handy mod. Convert one of the rooms of your farmhouse into an armory, or just scatter them around as casual deadly bookends!* *Please do not replicate in real life – game content only.
5. Treasure Hoarder Weapons
Check Out This Mod Have you heard a saying along the lines of ‘the poor get poorer, the rich get richer’? Well this is so very true in Stardew Valley. By even Winter of first year, if you play your cards right, your farmer is able to pretty much single handedly running Pelican Town’s economy. Capitalism is a mistress best served frequently, so why not get even richer with these Treasure Hoarder Weapons? Now when you damage monsters, even your weapon will reward you by dropping coins! So you really have no excuse not to build Pam and Penny a house. Or, you know, just spend it all on that big gold clock. Whatever floats your boat.
4. Non-Lethal Weapons
Check Out This Mod Are you tired of defending yourself in your slime hutch, only to accidentally crit and decapitate one of your babies? Or maybe you’re just a peace loving farmer who wants to mine without guilt. Either way, here’s a mod that introduces a handful of weapons that can give a wallop, but nary a death. You can get an Electric Prod or a Force Wand from Robin or Krobus, respectively. And they’ll cost either 2k or 10k, depending on which one you get. Happy tazing!
3. Fastestboi’s Additional Weapons
Check Out This Mod This custom mod does exactly what it sounds like: It adds some extra weapons to the game. With original textures and some new fun concepts, it’s definitely worth a download. Firstly, sai and bushido are available, specifically those from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which is honestly just fun. Then there’s also some wands with varied risks of success and failure. And of course there’s also a handful of new melee weapons to swing around. Give them a try and see what you think!
2. Animations for Gorgeous Weapons
Check Out This Mod This mod animates all the weapons in the Gorgeous Weapons modpack, also made by the same creator Kyuya258369. Gorgeous isn’t an overstatement by any means – these weapons are beautiful. I really like how they keep the original idea of the vanilla weapons, pretty much. But these upgrades totally deck out the textures. The Obsidian Edge, for example, which is a pretty mid-tier sword, becomes this super cool glowing blade with a black obsidian hilt. And the Galaxy Sword straight up glows. They’re freaking cool, man.
1. Fire Emblem Weapons Mod
Check Out This Mod Throwing thematic gameplay out the window, here’s my favorite weapon mod of them all: Fire Emblem weapons. Fire Emblem has lived in my head rent free since Three Houses became my latest micro obsession, so this entry is well-earned. This mod adds four weapons to the game, all of which are easy to obtain. Now you can toss around slimes with Ragnell, Alondite, Falchion, and Sieglinde. And for those of you who only know Fire Emblem from Smash, that’s Ike’s sword.
